Whatever mitigates the woes
or increases the happiness of others -
this is my criterian of goodness
And whatever injures society at large,
or any individual in it -
this is my measure of iniquity
For thus the royal mandate ran,
When first the human race began;
The social, friendly, honest man,
Whate'er he be
'Tis he fulfills great Nature's plan
And none but he.

The club holds six luncheon meetings a year (including the Annual General Meeting in October), hosts an annual Burns Supper in January, and holds an annual Memorial Service in July.
The club meets for lunch, normally on the third Saturday of October, November, December, February, March and April.  During these meetings we share the poetry and music of Robert Burns, and other Scottish cultural activities.  These meetings are open to all, but we do ask that you let us know you are coming by Tuesday evening prior.
Our meetings are held at the Holiday Inn Winnipeg South on Pembina Hwy.
The first Burns Supper held under the auspices of the Winnipeg Burns Club was held on Saturday, January 25, 1908 at Manitoba Hall
In more recent years the Burns Supper was held, always on January 25th, at the The St Regis Hotel, The Marlborough, CanadInns Polo Park, the Assiniboine Gordon Inn on the Park, the Winnipeg Convention Centre, and the Holiday Inn Winnipeg South.
The 114th Burns Supper was held, following a Covid imposed hiatus, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Holiday Inn Winnipeg South

The Memorial Service and Wreath Laying is held, annually, at the Robert Burns Statue, on the Kennedy St. side of the grounds of the Manitoba Legislative Building on a Sunday afternoon near to July 21st, the anniversary of the Bard's death in 1796.
There is always a reading or two from Burns, our Piper will play, and in latter years we have followed the service with dinner at a local fish and chip establishment.
The 2022 Memorial Service was held on July 24.
